I think I need to have my head checked for taking on these giant Halloween costume projects, lol. I heard someone say about last year’s costume “Yeah, that was a little over the top.” But, when (likely) the only child you will ever have says: “Mom, I need to be Lightening Mcqueen for Halloween” I was totally powerless to say no. Pinterest to the rescue. This took about four days staying up until 2 am to get this done. The hubs helped a lot and I wouldn’t have gotten it done in time without it. It was worth it to see my lovey jump up and down and hear him say “I just love you, Mom.” Plus, we took first place in his age category again this year at the Main Street Halloween Walk.
Last night we went into the studio and caught a few snaps of it and then as you can see Noah had a ball. How do you make an antsy child who isn’t really into it laugh? Start talking about poopy cat butts. Works like a charm. Also, bribing with candy is always on the table. As you can see Steve needed his portrait in the car as well. That sense of humor is why I married him. By the way, yesterday morning, Noah says. “Mommy, when are you going to start working on my Mater costume?” Uhhh, what?
